Walks from West Somerset Railway Stations:
Washford to Cleeve Abbey

A short walk from Washford Station to Cleeve Abbey (just over half a mile or roughly 940 metres). The route A wide pink line with red dashes is 'step free' and is suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. It takes the longer route along Castle Mead and Willow Grove to avoid a stretch of the A39 which has no pavements and high walls (that stretch is strongly not recommended as a walking route). The surfaces are made up, generally very good, although please note (1) the need to cross the busy A39 and (2) much of Abbey Road has no pavement. Places of interest along the route include Washford Inn and Washford Mill.
