There are hundreds of active volunteers helping to run the West Somerset Railway.
Of course, new volunteers are needed and welcomed.
The West Somerset Railway encourages people with or without railway skills or background to join in the volunteer work and activities of the Railway.

The Quantock Belle Dining Train

The Heritage Carriages Project
Work is underway to restore two rakes of former Great Western Railway heritage carriages.
This work requires many volunteers with a very wide range of skills with woodworking, metalworking and upholstery being foremost.
