Sod Cutters Special

Crowcombe Heathfield Station staff and friends have arranged the "SOD CUTTERS SPECIAL" for an evening with a difference on Friday 28 May 1999 to raise funds for the continuing refurbishment of the Station and to celebrate the 140th Anniversary of the Cutting of the First Sod of the West Somerset Railway on the site of Crowcombe Heathfield Station in April 1859.

Tickets are £7.50 each, which includes two glasses of wine, finger buffet and a 14 mile ride by Heritage DMU on the rarely used line to Norton Fitzwarren, and then up to Crowcombe Heathfield.

Train departs Bishops Lydeard Station at 7.30pm, returning at approximately 10pm

Tickets are available from Crowcombe Heathfield Station staff.
