	The CrossCountry Network: Past, Present & Future - in association with Virgin Trains during which a Virgin Voyager will be named "Somerset Voyager". For full details click here.
	DAY OUT WITH THOMAS 5-6 July 2003

	VINTAGE RALLY & STEAM FAYRE WEEKEND 2-3 August 2003
	A huge rally held at Bishops Lydeard featuring all manner of vintage road vehicles, steam engines, and lots more too...and loads of trains of course! Details available in due course.
	SWINDON HERITAGE DIESEL GALA 8-9 August 2003
	A two-day feast of diesel-hydraulic power. The successor to the old Great Western Railway, the Western Region, upheld the tradition of "doings things their way" at Swindon Works and constructed diesels with hydraulic transmission when everyone else built diesels using electric motors to transfer power to the wheels. The weekend will see three preserved examples of the Swindon products hard at work on an ex-GWR branch line. The FULL TIMETABLE is now available. Oh, and ex=GWR steam locos will also be in service!
	CAMRA REAL ALE FESTIVAL 13-14 September 2003
	The Somerset branch of CAMRA will hold their annual Real Ale festival at Minehead Station. Another great time under the canopy, with many real ales available, including local brews. Musical entertainment throughout the weekend to help the ale down. Full details now available.
	AUTUMN STEAM GALA 2-5 October 2003
	One of the major events of the British heritage railway scene. At least eight engines will be in steam and working trains at the Gala. A four day feast of West Country steam. Full details now available.
	GRAND TRAINS EXTRAVAGANZA 25-26 October 2003
	A feast of steam and diesel trains throughout the weekend. Full details now available.
	SANTA SPECIALS 2003 December 2003
	Yes, the great man once again visits West Somerset during December. Steam trains from Minehead or Bishops Lydeard take children and grown-ups to Santa's Grotto. Details available in due course.
	Carol Trains December 2003
	Come and enjoy the seasonal atmosphere by joining us and singing carols at WSR stations as this special steam hauled early evening train makes its leisurely way along the line. Details available in due course.
	DUNSTER by CANDLELIGHT 2003 5-6 December 2003
	Dunster by Candlelight is one of the most popular events held in West Somerset during the winter season. Leave the car behind and travel in style by heritage train to this magical event. The highly picturesque village - with its famous castle, church, working mill, yarn market and many other historic buildings - steps back into history with the peaceful glow of candles in virtually every window. 	WINTER STEAM FESTIVAL 28 December 2003
	The Winter Steam Festival is a brand new gala event. Why not come along after Christmas to savour and enjoy a busy Great Western branch line in Winter…?
