Cutting Back

The WSRA arranges working parties to help keep the lineside vegetation in check and managed in sympathy with nature. David Holmes is responsible for planning and organising the working parties, so if you fancy a day out in the countryside and meeting nature face to face, then this is for you!

David has provided some details of activities for 2001...

• March 3rd/4th Tidy Train: Weightlifting and wrestling for all. We shall leave Minehead at 9.30 am Saturday and work our way to Lydeard. Transport will be laid on back to Minehead to arrive about 6.00pm. Sunday we shall be leaving Lydeard at 9.30 am returning in the evening. Help would also be appreciated to unload on the Monday at Bishop's Lydeard.
• March 6th for about ten days. The flail is in and one or two people would be appreciated to assist clearing up behind the flail as it works.
• April 7th/8th North end of Eastcombe Cuting.
• May12th/13th Stogumber station.
