 The Hanging of the New Gate at Blue Anchor

The Gang at work. ©Alan Grieve On 16 February 2003, Alan Grieve travelled up to Blue Anchor to view the Station Staff and the Railway's Signal and Telegraph team hanging the new level crossing gate.

In temperatures of no better than 1°C, the determined ensemble had the woodwork hung by 10 o'clock. Whilst some levelled the new gate, others dismantled the old one.

Of course, our intrepid FOMS Chairman took his camera along...
