A new event for 2003. The West Somerset Railway will re-create the era of the Cross Country Train - those trains that run against the grain of the main lines. Originally using the lines of a multitude of the old Railway Companies, then the "Big Four" and the Regions of British Railways. They still run today and Virgin Trains are foremost in providing Cross Country trains in the 21st Century, and will join in the celebrations by naming one of their "Voyager" trains as "Somerset Voyager" at Minhead. The "Voyager" will also be used on a Bristol-Minehead service on both days as well several normal service trains on the West Somerset. The weekend TIMETABLE is now available.
